Merrimac Dog Training Club

Note: This Monday evening class starts on 5/19 to accomodate the General Membership meeting on 5/12.

This class is for dogs that have completed Introduction to Scent Work and are ready to be introduced to odor. We‘ll pair primary rewards (food and/or toys) with the first odor (birch) and continue to build a foundation of independence, confidence and love of the game. Perfect for young or old dogs, scaredy dogs, dogs with disabilities, fit dogs, couch potato dogs…Any dog with a nose can do it!

Note: Handlers are required to crate their dogs ring side so please be sure to bring a crate (soft, travel or wire). Dogs must crate between runs. 

Prerequisites: Open only to dogs that have been introduced to scent work but are not yet on odor.  This class is not appropriate for dogs trialing or taking classes at higher levels.
